I'd have to take a taxi the way we came up, through the bottom of the DH trail, cannot be ridden up (it's a downhill only trail) so we had to push. Normally, I'd have ridden around and up the jeeptrack, but being the second time I'd ridden there (and some of the riding party hadn't ridden there at all) it was decided that we'd walk it up the trail to have a look at what we'd encounter on the way down. Plus out of the 5 of us only Capricorn & I have bikes that can be descibed as "pedal friendly" - one DH bike, one 180mm Freeride bike, one 170mm Freeride tank, My reign x (also 170mm but can pedal fine) and Capricorn's Trance. With all the checking of lines, inspecting features, kakpraat and all other stuff, it took about 90 minutes to ascend the 3.7km or so (380m ascent) So - not that fast at all.

We stopped to session a certain section a few times, and take a few pics, shoot the breeze and just chat about which sections we'd ride next. It was cool in the trees, so we didn't really wanna get back out into the sun. That's when this was taken.
