No not really, in the middle of the run i started feeling a bit quesy so took a long walk (really long LOL... kind of like running the water points and walking the bits inbetween...) ate some food (pretzels and apricot / apple pieces) and felt much better.

Ag awesome boet. So now you can relax, and I need to start training! Bugger. :P

What does Jurrie look like... saw a few Saffas along the way...think i spoke to a guy whose name was either jurrie or dirk... sorry brain fade... he lives somewhere in Zurich the guy i'm thinking of

Yep. Jurrie Van der Merwe. Works and lives in Zurich. Saw on the results he did a 11.54.

Yep spoke to him on the cycle while going up the "beast" he passed me on the run going like a rocket

Hehe sounds corny but the announcer at the finish was Paul Kaye from Cape Town and he said exactly that and then added you have Vasbyt when he saw the SA flag on my bib!!

 

Was great hearing a South African voice everytime we went past the start / finish area
