Awesome ride. Met Gary. Lost a bottle on the strips again sigh. Got dropped on the hekpoort decent but 8 of us regrouped and made it back to the pack. Awesome teamwork. Then as al was doing their Sunday cruise umderchiever and I entertained them a bit with a 10to 15km breakaway. And of course followed by n crazy sprint. Awesome race. And then a tough ride home with the nc boys

I think I was part of the run back to AL. I was on the white Giant T-mobile with black and orange kit.

Fell off the group at the right turn in Magalies at bout 52km. never caught the group again. I was definitely not in A group shape today

Did you end up coming in home with us (B)? Saw somebody with that description joining us.

Tough ride today in AL. Burnt many matches not getting dropped in the climb just before the hekpoort decent. The wind across the descent made it quite sketchy, not great hitting rough spots in the road surface at 88km/h. AL rode quite hard, was a damn cold start. Didnt have the kung fu for the final rising sprint, well done to the winners.

I came in about one or two minutes ahead of B.

Sorry mate! No insult intended. We picked up a guy from A that was strong. Orange and black kit.

I must also compliment the bike marshals, we were 3 riders the last 20km and the marshal stuck by our side till the end.

Made me feel much more comfortable without worrying 2 much about the traffic.

Big up 2 you guys for doing a great job.

No insult. As it turn out I was only about 30 secs ahead of the B group on the road, but top B riders got a better time.

Congrats on finishing dude. You guys at the back are just as important to us as the guys up front :-) It would have been Mzee or Oom Johan with you right at the back

It would be great to know who the marshalls with each group is/ was. Maybe publish it or wear your name somewhere. I like to chat with the marshall afterwards to show appreciation. When the guys are away from their bikes - it can be difficult to know who is who. I found our (B) marshall easy enough today though...:)
