ROCKET Compression Socks all the way.

You'll feel the difference immediately. I often get disappointed when my rockets are still in the wash before a race and I'm forced to wear my FALKE's...

Wow..... A sock thread.... Just wow...

Surely and I say SURELY if you are riding Epic you have ridden sufficient hours on your MTB to know which socks you like?

Just a thought.......

I've been mountain biking for 15 years and have done more than enough training, thanks. I have not done much walking during my training though, which perhaps I should have, so was merely asking for advice from people who have possibly done Epic or could advise what socks work best when they've had to walk. I am riding this with my fiancee, and I know we will be walking quite a bit as we will be back markers so just wanted some advice, that's all.

I am sorry if I offended you. But I will say, if you anticipated having to walk a lot, you should have practiced walking a lot.

Any socks you wear in training wont suddenly disintegrate or change into pumpkins because its the Epic.

Have you ridden Attakwas or Toulbach?

If so,use those socks for 7 days and a pair of go faster lumo socks for the prologue.

Make sure you dont hike/ride with sand or stones in your shoes as a 2min pit stop to change to dry, clean socks is better than the 5 days you will lose through blisters and infection.

Its 8 bike races, nothing complicated. They also do washing for you so you can probably get away with wearing your favourite 2 or 3 pairs of socks for the whole race

Who knows... you only wear them 1 day on the Epic and then throw them away... :)

I even threw my shoes away, but only after we finished.

In hindsight :whistling: I should of wish I had thrown my saddle away as well
