What saddle should I be looking at to replace my old, worn out saddle?

It would be for a women and mountain biking specifically. No multi stage races and no really long races / rides. Longest ride ever done is the Momentum 94.7, 55km mountain bike race.

Specialized stores have the assometer to check the width of your sitbones and can advise accordingly. Trek have something similar I think. Worked wonders for my wife and for me after we got the measurements done. A comfy seat is a good seat and will keep you riding more and more.

Do yourself a favour and go to a shop that do these measurements instead of giving you a saddle to try out because "it's woman's specific". A good manufacturer will offer it in different widths and models to fit your pocket.

and don't take peoples advise too much to heart. what suits one bum won't suit another. i never have used a womens saddle. i use a specialized phenom on all my bikes, suits me well. may suit you, may not..

Sent the wife for a bike setup and the moment she bought a Specialized Phenom she was very happy with it and said it was very comfy

If you managed to ride a saddle until it was worn out, then you must have liked it.!

Why not replace with the same saddle.?

My friend has just got a new Titan woman's saddle with the cut out for the lady bits.. But her bum was extremely sore first time she rode the cradle with it.. How long will the seat give her pain for and what can she do to stop the saddle giving her a sore bum..
