Well done to everyone who finished the Amashova. I will definitely be there next year.

So how was the wind/ weather in general?

Ja... Need to buy new tyres that give me an extra 16 seconds :whistling:

But realistically Plan A was firmly in place. Wheel sucked and had bunch that pulled me along. To the guys that pulled that 3:00:15 A bus along, Thanks :thumbup: , now i know what its like to have "that time in you records". I tried to get to front to help, but no luck. To the B guys in the bunch, well done.

3:00 from A.

Cruised in with Luc which was cool.

Need to work on my climbing legs.

And maybe try warm up.

Maybe...

If you guys finished in 3 hours you must have been in the very large bunch mixed with tandems, A and B

That's it.

Also with some blonde girl with camelback that made us all look stupid!

Managed a 2h:49 after being dropped from the A batch in the last couple kms. Geez the wind was a duzi.

Then we would have been together until the second climb on the M13 up to Hillcrest Old Main Rd offramp when I finally lost contact with the group. Couldn't stand on the pedals - the cramps had already started by then.

Oh I was wondering what happened to Luc - was riding just behind him as we reached Inchanga and then he was gone (thought he had gone up ahead). But by that stage my eyes were crossed and I was seeing stars so wasn't really sure what was happening around me. I had to stay in the big ring up Inchanga just to keep up with the pace of that front group.

But I guess that's what happens when you goof off through winter and gain 6kg...

I got properly schooled yesterday and I'm having to reset my expectations for 94.7. With the new course profile it's going to hurt even more than Amashova (if that's even possible) :).

Think i saw you as one of the guys the broke away, there was some guy in a pink jersey that i noticed disappearing.

Was still trying to "save myself" for the rest of the climbs... Plus the breakaway had rockets on.

Now I know why I...

a) saw fuzzy white things running across the road;

b) ran out of fluid with 15km to go;

c) suffered on the climbs on the tandem, that usually aren't that difficult on a single bike;

d) couldn't sit on the back of a single bike's wheel on a gradual drag;

f) need to train harder smarter;

g) sucked big time, yesterday - rule #5 would apply here;

h) all of the above

Wasn't in the red at all... more like purple.

edit: spelling (I hope)

You should have asked, I could have helped with "b".

But if they had tested you - I would deny EVERYTHING !!!

Next time Saul, if you catch me again.

On a serious note, I was in survival mode.

Just trying to get Des home safely and as quickly as possible. We nearly caught you guys at the 1Km to go, then the elastic finally broke.

Say what you want but that was 1 hell of a ride.

I'd never manage to stay in Zone 5B and 5C for that time.

You have a high LTHR.

You way fitter than me.

You going to be on fire at the 94.7.....
