Realistically.. I would like to see how much difference a bigger wheel would actually make over the course of 5 minutes on a dh course. Might be nice experiment... Take the same rider ..5 runs on a 26... and 5 on a 29...

Hey Nige, how did this affect the course, if at all?

Pic that GM posted on Facebook taken on the 21st

rode around the area recently and there is major washouts and rutting...I will let nige give the lowdown on the xc and dh course

there were a couple of ruts here and there - but the tracks were largely unaffected ... They have been designed to be sustainable even if it pisses like that ...

There were just a couple of trees that were down.

No, I think you are not giving yourself enough credit - that should have read "the tracks were largely unaffected due to the design and building of the course being so amazingly good"

Does anyone know what the ticket prices are? If I go on the site (http://mtbworldcupsa.co.za/) and try to get tickets it takes me to the CSA site and it wants me to get a CSA licence???

R40 per day. Get them from the ROAG website.. WWW.ROAG.co.za but will require you to register if you are not

Nigel I hope you have thrown in some surprises for these foreigners and their trail bikes - I hope their bike choices prove to be horribly wrong. Go Greg.

If he has you can be guaranteed there will be more than one whiner brit who complains that he made the track specifically for Greg and that Greg rides it every day etc etc etc.

I was there last year. What an experience!!! I heard there's a lot of new features on the track including a much more technical rock garden, does anyone have any pictures of the new features?
