Ya that was an interesting one! The climbs were all stepped like one of those unrealistic jump spin classes! Anyway I stuck it out and didn't lose connection. Thanks for organizing regardless :)

DIPSLICK was out the blocks like a rabbit and had a minute on us in no time at all - thought we were in for a hammering and then suddenly he was gone.....

exactly the same then i saw i was pulling away from you guys  i knew there was a problem,

the hidden race snake in me said i must capitilize on my 99km/h reading, but then my better half stepped in :whistling:

i have registered what happens then, there are different payment "packages"

Yes, its something like Strava. You can go for the free ver, or for premium. I have gone for the free, and have not paid a cent, and it gives me the following functionality.

I can plot and create routes with a click of a mouse, save them under my profile, and then download the gpx track file, which i then import into TTS4. It works like a charm. You can also do this using TTS4 itself, but its really clunky, and hard to do with any degree of accuracy.

I can search for any of the public routes, save them to my routes, download the gpx file blah blah.

I don't think it will let you upload a ride, or do any of the social networking bs, but who needs that - thats what we have strava, Garmin and Polar for.

Probably the easiest way for us to share routes is to ride together and to save the ride aftwerwards; its also the most motivating. We can also share files by email - I sent Berry some today.

One of my mates has given me his Garmin connect login details (I really wanted his bank profile), so when we do a nice ride or race, I just download and import it from Garmin. You can also easily import your rides from strava, so soon you will build a large bank of rides, And we can all share and share alike.

Another way to create routes is to ride a free cycling session in VR, and then save the ride. But you need the steerer for this, and the I keep going off the road, so the final product looks like it was made by a drunk driver - not ideal! (Last week I cycled off Victoria Rd and carried on riding in the Atlantic)

I wonder if we can also share route files with Rouxtjie and his Powerbeam nerds? Don't see why not.

Is Team CycleOps taking on Team Tracx for a multiplayer race ...

oooooo we can but not in your beloved TTS, has to be virtual trainer with tacx guys using a speed and cadence sensor.

But since you guys put down the challenge, we can choose the route?

Pistol at dawn I say...and DIPS...please remove you drill motor from the cranks

Shot Harry, I got that Ride with GPS thing running and managed to upload a route  . So when we looking for a route to do there's quite a lekker one I did from St Mikes to Hibberdene on the KZN South Coast which is 33.6km with equal climbing and descent of 435m. It's got quite few ups and downs along the way but none of them hectic :)
