Skylark Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) Was wondering how the hell the tyre bead was going to be held by these rims but they have a bead hump on either side of the center channel of the rim that holds the bead in place, it's inside the tyre once it's mounted not on outside like in typical rims. So explain so my peanut can grasp how an outward pressure locks a bead onto that little hump which is toward the inside? humor me, my brain is mush atm. Edited April 17, 2014 by Capricorn

I'm not 100% sure why but it appears that due to the forces involved the inner channel stops the bead moving laterally and that stops it being able to burp off and weirdly enough they say even better than a typical rim. I'm assuming the bead must need to be able to move inwards in the process of burping and the inside ridge/hump stops that happening. May be all marketing gibberish though.
