Hey Guys,

I've just returned from rooiberg and cullinan.

I'll upload the route profiles for Rooiberg later today.

Very minor changes over last year just focussing on a better rider experience regarding starts, batches, mergers before finish grooming existing trails and water points.

We're bringing in a roller to compact lots of the "pebble" climb sections.

We'll have a small teaser from the weekend on facebook during the week.

Cheers!

Have the route profiles been loaded yet, or am I just missing the obvious?

Looking forward to Rooiberg cycling. Done lots of cycling in the Magalies, so keen to try a different part of the country.

Currently the ultra is at 105km.

  • Cut-off at 14h00 (53km into Marathon, 83.6km into Ultra)
  • 105km has a cut-off at the finish of 9hours
  • Will give a update over the weekend, to confirm as there will be a change over last year.

  •

Can we have that update now please?

I'd like to hear from you guys what a fair minimum average speed is to do a ultra in ie. min 15km/h for a 120km 8hour finish time... :whistling:

If you enter the Ultra and need 8hrs to finish it then you should not enter the Ultra at all

Depends if you want to grow the Ultra field. If so then you need to make the cut off more generous. I would say 6 hours at 75km mark and 9 hours at finish.
