I do not dispute that there are certain elements of my career that I wish had been different. Nor do I dispute that doping was a fact of life in the peloton for a considerable period of time. However, a very small minority of us has been used as scapegoats for an entire generation. There is clearly something wrong with a system that allows only six individuals to be punished as retribution for the sins of an era.

He has a point but it doesn't stop the fact his career has been dripping in doping, wrong doing and constant denials.

Just as well he sold his world tour licence before that decision came through.

Spill the beans Johan....name the riders,Doctors and directeur sportifs involved in doping.

Lets get LA, Johan and Lars on Oprah Pt2 with some decent questions and a Jerry-Springer-style all in bun fight at the end.

The Kingpin.

That is exactly the point! He was one of the guys that really pushed it to the next level. And then he told the riders that spoke up or got caught that they are "toxic" and cannot come back to his team (Astana).

Are we still talking about doping that happened last century? Fark...

I hate doping but this 20 year long on off fart arsing approach to doping is worse than the actual doping. Knowing this year's winner before the previous years winner has been clarified in court, trials that last 90% as long as the ban, digging up skeletons then banning then, banning people after they've retired. I'm sick to death of the post mortem approach to "fixing" doping.

Well, you can't really expect to get off scott free because you weren't the only sinner. I have to concede that he has a point though. It's as if the UCI and WADA point of view is one of "bring down US Postal and we've won" and I don't believe that to be entirely fair.

But then, to Eldron's point, where will this end?
