Mojoman Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 What hubs are they? I have been reading that the M775's have an issue with this, I am waiting my turn for this issue... On my M475 hubs I have gone through about 4 or 5 freewheel hubs over the years!

Seen 2 of the same hub do that recently! - Alleged theory is that it is old OEM stock that was not designed to withstand the larger forces of bigger wheels (But in my opinion just rubbish to cover themselves cos they messed up in QC) Tiny K 1

Cassie Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Same happened to me! (a while back, though) i took picks of the cracked hub - still posted here on the Hub......mine lasted longer than yours...but still... Seems to be a XT issue... Soufflé 1
Gandalf Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 haaibo. I read this thread the other day. Yesterday while riding home my cassette came loose. Today I took a closer look.. See the crack through the middle and a piece missing from the side. So now I am off to find a new one. Can I fit a hope freebody onto a shimano hub? Are they compatible with one another or do yo have to replace with a shimano freebody?
