So this weekend me and the wife was celebrating her birthday when we received a phone call from my father-in-law.

Him and my mother-in-law went out for a cycle from Barberton and on their way out approximately 5km from home towards Nelspruit, on the road they regularly cycle, a black Police Van hit her from behind, almost taking out my father-in-law as well.

She is currently in the hospital waiting to get her arm in a splint. Badly bruised with a cracked arm. (could have been a lot worse)

Unfortunately everything happened so fast that they could not get a registration number of the vehicle.

Not even the so called "Law" have a respect for the Law in this country of ours.

Be safe out there guys and girls.

Thats because most dont even have licences! I read the other day that they muppets in charge a few years back decided having a drivers licence wasnt a requirement to become a cop!

They must open a case against the driver.

If it's A SAPS vehicle it will have a tracking system on it.Did they see any of the no's on the vehicle?

Glad it wasn't any worse.

as far as I know they are opening / or have opened a case. Apparently there are no black police vans in the Barberton SAPD, so it must have been from a different town.

Will be waiting to hear what the investigation reveals.

Cops will smear that case. Tried to open a case on a cop who passed on a solid white line pushing me off the road. Went to the police station where they refused to open a case against the cop.

The cop admitted he was wrong, but they just smeared any and every effort of mine.

Why would they want to open a case against one of their friends. Even spoke to the station commander.

Don't know if I am giving something away or to wipe out. . . Most government vehicles has a. Tracking system in them( or at least in the western cape.

If one can somehow get all the vehicles to be checked what vehicle was at that location at that time you will know who was driving it.
