MTB Seat post.

What other benefits are there besides the weight gain if one had to fit a carbon seat post?

On a hardtail, 1) a bit of ''give" or Flex 2) slight vibration dampening. On a dual I have found it not needed at all besides weight gain

Not many...but you get to sit with your riding buddy while the Dr's take carbon splinters out.

Seen a few carbon posts break in the last while.

what about that new cannondale seatpost?

its designed to flex a little

Flex a little with a 60kg rider and what happens with a 90kg rider?

Thanks guys. Busy upgrading my handlebars on my 29er dual and was wondering if it was worthwhile to do the seat post at the same time.
