There must be quite a few unsponsored riders out there who are more than capable to be contenders but the entry fee is just way to steep for them. I know a sherif in town that is licking and biting his lips stukkend for a fighting chance to get his draw hand on $700 000 - $100 000 / 2 = $300 000 = R3Million plus minus...

If you're a podium contender, without the entry fee, pm me for a deal..

No chancers.

Good on you.... But I think you may find some big egos who honestly think they are podium contenders... but in reality....

Simple, just ping FRAIL! Right here on the Hub under your nose. He might need a few days to train up for it though, so be sure to contact him a week or so before the big day.

R87.50 - given the estimated 2.5 days winning time... ;)

Actually not quite, it's a single stage race so the the day licence fee would apply ;)

I reckon that entry is so much is that they only get entries from people who are really serious about this event..

Find some shade and sleep from about 11h00 to 16h00, then ride through the night when it is cooler. You'll have a 5 hour rest, and 19 hours to ride per day. Include shorter rest stops every 3 hours or so. It stays light until 20h00 and first light is before 05h00 so you only need lights for about 6 hours. Whatever you do, water is going to be a major issue, so fill up whenever you pass a windmill.

Whichever way I look at it, this is NOT FOR ME!
