Was fortunate enough to race Sani2C this year and we were going for a top 15 overall. So I nearly fell off my bike in shock on day 2 when we only passed her 45kms in to the stage climbing out the valley.

Huge respect, and she can certainly turn a pedal.

oh yes and big ups to bianca...if she gets her training right she is going to be a great xc rider. I remember doing a lynford challenge about 4 or 5 years ago..and even at 13 or whatever she was..she came sailing past me!

I am going to have to change my prediction Stretch... Nino in for the win, Fumic out for me, would have been nice to see Kulhavy on the podium but he punctured and lost time.

I see big things for James... He admitted to having his eyes opened when he was in the States and had hoped his training game big time

Racing in EU and US is a must for our guys. Bit of a debate on Tweeta this last week re. racing in SA to get UCI points. Sure, we need the points but it doesn't help having points and then going over to WC races in Europe and getting lapped out.

As far as funds allow we have to get our riders overseas.

Great result for James as well. If they want to succeed they need to be based in Europe and race there all the time. Same as the road pro's.

what annoys me is that our govt should be falling over themselves to get people like james bianca candice racing in the world cup circuit, yet as far as i understand they need to pay their own way. Not sure if James gets any travel assistance from Trek, or Bianca and candice from BMC..maybe someone will enlighten me

Pretty sure its all sponsor-funded. For the girls Time-freight and Velolife will definitely help them along.

Now that we also have Kargo involved with the men, hopefully we will see more of them going across. I know they've sent a few guys to the next round in Germany which is good.

Not sure about Brendon and James as they're both Trek but Brendon not going across?

Absalon had a... WELL DONE Nino, awesome ride right from the start.

For South Africans the racing outside SA is COMPLETELY different, their on another level.

Brendon raced Mankele this weekend and is going over to join James for the next round I think.
