New bike day. Rode 70 miles home in 4 degree temps but sunny and dry roads. Bike is small for 937cc motorcycle, agile and a pile of fun. Being tall I have had the high seat installed. Bought from Ducati Abingdon and got a monster deal. I like chewing the cud with sales folks. In January they sold 13 bikes and so far this month 11. Considering these are the worst 2 months for selling motorcycles that’s pretty good as Ducati I guess is a premium brand. What cost of living crisis eh.

first mod done  🤣

Congrats on the new bike. That is a fine one for the country lanes of The Mud Patch!

Took my gsa 850 out for a ride and then immediately afterwards got on the monster, its tiny in comparison and a barrel of laughs. Not as smooth as gsa and more agricultural but what fun. Had a street trip 765 a few years ago and this is even more agile. Crazy. Got good low down grunt.

gonna be fun in the sun this summer.

Congrats on the TL Spokey. We have a friend who owned a TL. That twin sounded awesome!!

Nice Monster ICM. Always had a soft spot for the Ducati monster.

Had Shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago, and even though it's been raining for 5 days straight I miss riding my moto a lot.

Thanks Man, heal up well. I had surgery in 2006 for a well busted up left AC joint. Made the mistake of getting back to riding too soon, motorcycles and MTB, was a drama for years…….now I put the pain down to age Ha Ha (61)

Anyways, I am in US on a work trip and have not been home for months……..I have to collect my Yamaha MT01 and the TLS when I return home in 10 days……am like a young kid at Christmas!

Jeeze and a Giant Stance that I have not ridden!!

I am rather excited for the new KTM 390 Adventure!

It’s very expensive here for what it is. But a sexy scoot. Same motor as the triumph 400. Great bike but expensive esp the hardcore version.

Picked up the latest model Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Really fun bike and love the sound of the triple.

Coming off sports bikes it is a much more relaxing ride, doing my first dirt riding course next weekend which should be an eye opener

From what I understand the "hardcore version" will be around the 120/140K mark in SA

It’s 7 grand here. Might squeeze the dealer a bit given KTM woes but unlikely to get a better deal on what is a new model.

7 grand buys a lot of motorcycle from other brands so I don’t expect to see too many of these. But they would be very capable off road.

Been a few changes in my bike life. Any ride on the Rocket that is longer than 30 minutes and my lower back is killing me. My L5/S1 fusion from a few years back does not help I suppose.

I have been wanting to get some type of dual purpose bike for the better sitting position and ability to do non technical gravel roads. Purchased a KLR650 with a 685cc big bore kit, reworked suspension and doohickey done. A bit rough cosmetically but a nice blank canvas.

Coming from the rocket, I was a bit underwhelmed by its tar road performance but happy with it's off road performance. Well truth be told anything after a rocket is going to be underwhelming.

A very nice WeeStrom 650 popped up on Wild Dogs forum and my hamster started the treadmill working 🤣. Long story short, my son in law is buying the KLR and I am getting the strom.

Now I just need the rocket to sell.
