Flaming aside, I have found that keeping the core warm in dry weather (Gauteng) is relatively easy with layering and regular gear. Head/neck taken care of by two buffs.

My problem is keeping hands and feet warm.

Even with toe caps, my feet freeze up - you don't really notice until you get home and cant feel them at all...any help?

I think a pair of thermal / winter gloves is required - any recommendations / places to buy?

Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to cycling, so this will be my first winter cycling experience. Any suggestions on keeping warm? What to buy? What not to buy?

Move to Durban.

Sealskin Socks are the winner winner chicken dinner, I rode with them in the snow and they kept my feet warm. AS for gloves its hard to beat the Assos wind proof ones. Edited by Sasquatch
