There's a deranged seller trying to flog his cracked and repaired Dogma frame, calls it "like new", every time some one asks a question he deletes the ad and reposts it again. Goes bonkers/hyper aggressive if you have the audacity to question the description, I asked how he could call it like new if the frame had been cracked and repaired, he went ballistic. The seller and his bike no doubt have issues. Watch the classifieds he posts it every now and then.

A recent irritation - an ad is posted for a new Shimano Zee shifter for sale at R350, I PM and indicate I'll take it at the R350 as advertised, I get a PM'd reply saying there's an offer of R380 but if I want it I can have it at R400!

I re-check the advert and see that the shifter is now listed at R300 and at the same time I receive another PM saying I can have it at the R350 as originally advertised. WTF?! There were so many prices quoted I just walked away from it.

That guys up to something non-kosher, listed the Zee crank and shifter together at what what looked like a bargain price, then a short while later it was listed as all "sold", then the stuff was back up again split up and more expensive.

There's a couple of ad's that appear / disappear / re-appear.

If you want to sell something quickly just describe it properly & honestly (ie if it's used say so, don't spin a story about it being new) and ask a realistic price!

I think he saw that he could get more cash for it. The response was quite good I would assume. Pretty poor if that is the case.

But all the messing around for R50?

Tbh, I often wonder if it is worth the effort of selling the real low value stuff. Not so much of a problem when someone collects, but a pain to post or courier.

Yeah, but no. He's a proper tjop when questioned.

So it would seem, but we have to have some tjops in the world to keep it 'interesting'.

Question is, would you prefer to deal with a polite liar our an honest tjop?

Hey guys Just a quickie. (Not sure if I'm in the right place)

R1285.00 is this a fair price for Shimano SLX M666. Front only.

When told me they had the "SLX" at this price I was under the impression they would be SLX M675 which if I'm reading correctly the M675 are the latest SLX's & the M666 is from 2012.

So have I been ripped off or am I reading too much into the codes?

Thanks in advance.
