I was dumped in the last group for the 42km last year. My mates were a couple of groups ahead of me. Decided just to enjoy it, when the gun went off my legs took over and the race was on. Did a faster time than them. Had to get off the bike just before the top of Helshoogte as 2 guys were taking pics with their Tablett, nogals in the fast lane.(right side of the track). :cursing: Was lekkker de moer in. Had to walk up the 30 or so meters.

Point is J B, you can still have a fast time from behind.   Carma will get you to the end, you determine your own pace. Good luck.

Thanks dude. Looking forward to it.

The tyres are slightly wider but I still don't believe in suspension or disc brakes though :P

Most of the team not keen on the dirt so will be cruising round the peninsula.

Hi, I have an entry for the 60km available, which I will sell for the price I paid for it (R220)....OR, if you have a REALLY good reason, you may have it for FREE...substitution etc. to be done ASAP. PM me. Thank you.

Is it just me or when you do a rough elevation gain estimate on the 60km route you get nowhere near the 1900m they say? more in the regein of 1500 at the most

Try swopping with Jorrie if your start group is better than his. You might just make his day.

You might be right, dont know how they get to these figures sometimes, either too much or too little.

1500-1900 is still normal, STRAVA will give you 4852000m of climbing (slight exaggeration) for the 60km

Group E - sorry, do not think that will help.

Did they not talk about a new route for the 75,60 at the split from the 42km route.
