Afaik each countries national champ gets that honour.

Greg is not the current SA champ. Thus no ZA flag on his sleeve.

Thanks. Who is the national champ atm?

The tape being moved is pretty insane...any idea whether UCI is reconsidering his DQ?

I doubt it ... The course taping is a strict issue and I think the tape being moved after Kerr's run was either done by a spectator or a marshal without the instruction of the UCI.

When I did my course taping - areas where I knew riders would try and cut etc were either triple poled (three poles in close proximity) .. or the pole hole was spraypainted on the ground so that we knew if it was moved.

But during finals you cant get up onto the hill to fix poles so it is up to the marshal and their discretion.

Seems from eyewitness accounts that it was moved by marshals. Does this not operate blatantly to Kerr's prejudice? It does, obviously.

hahaha, like the B line around Jugs'.

That was bunted so tight that nearly every elite female I saw go round the jump, clipped a pole.

Yeah he could protest im sure - but again you are only allowed to protest within i think its 30 minutes of the DSQ being lodged ...

Also he would have to have proof that any of the riders after him who did not get DSQ'ed landed outside of where the tape had been prior to it being moved.

There are two rear wheel positions along with two rear shock positions, making it possible to change both the wheelbase and bottom bracket height depending on the demands of the course.

A 'First Ride' set of Schwalbe's Magic Mary tires are mounted on a DT Swiss wheelset. The wheels don't have Schwalbe's dual valve system, but take a look at that note near the valve stem: .8 to 1.6bar equates to 12-23psi, which is low pressure no matter how you measure it. Those two buttons at the back of the Fox Air 40 fork are bleed valves to release any air that may have built up internally.

Like most riders on the circuit, Fairclough is running a seven speed cassette, with a custom spacer taking the place of the missing three cogs. Shimano's Saint gruppo handles shifting and braking duties - note the two different caliper mounting positions to be used when changing the bike's wheelbase
