Exactly, my problem as well.... This race will probably cost me close to R50k in total if I would do it.... Eg bribing the misses, unpaid leave ect ! Not worth it....

 

Bucket list race though.... I think I'd take jhb2C over epic if I had the choice.

The guys who have done both races boast about the Epic but they enthuse about J2C.

oom, I won't lie, its now beyond reach for me....can't afford it anymore. Would love to do it again but alas.

There are still a couple of gems out there that are well priced. Do them before they catch on.

 

The days of doing the same race year after year are slowly coming to an end. It's simply too expensive to do the same experience twice.

Also big bucks oom....also being in the cape, its going to cost even more from a logistics point of view. I am seriously thinking of doing some self supporting touring rather...sleep in B&B's and make it an adventure. Obviously you need mates around...but if there is like a group of 5 okes, it could be a gas
