ah ok... so either way its flawed.

if they ask the riders to enter their weight, then its easy to cheat the system. If they dont base it on weight, then lighter riders will get beaten every time

what would be the point in cheating the system?? its acouple of "mates" taking the boring out of training, we not racing for prizes, also im sure there are guys who know each other, i ride with rouxtjie, what would the point be if i pip him on a race then when we ride he is 10km in front of me,,, its like anything we working on a gentlemans agreement and understanding, but training at different weight serves zero purpose other than "wasting" your own time because you wont be training effectively, WELL THAT HOW I SEE IT

AND AS ROUXTJIE SAYS THE LIGHT MACHINES PULL AWAY ON THE CLIMBS AS THEY WOULD NORMALLY, the only fifference is us buffalos dont get our usual "mother nature" assistance down the hills,

Couldnt have said it better....there is no point in cheating this system.

In other news, I scored 7 holes in one in parkview last weekend. :whistling:

Thanks for update Rouxtjie. Would also be good to know each person's weight, age and FTP? Then we can spot the slackers.

Matter of interest: with these races generally lasting just short of an hour would it be expected to at least have a avg watt = to your FTP?

Yip mine hovers around 250-270W per hour depending how tired I am. But yes....it should be there or thereabout. Also it matches my power numbers from another device so it makes its integrity spot on.

I think us fatties are going to strike (but not diet) until we get to wizz downhills aided by our fat arses. Nevermind not helping the skinnies - it is killing us nicely grown up men.

You seem to always find something about cheating or cheats... just saying :whistling:

Rouxtjie, just want to thank you again for advising me to buy the powerbeam. IDT went from very boring, riding 30min once every 2 weeks to something I'm really looking forward to and ending up riding 3-4 times a week. As it is piss cold and wet in the Cape at the moment I haven't been riding my bike outside for the last 3 weeks, but really am looking forward giving it a hard time this weekend! Think this online racing will have a huge impact on one's fitness.

If I find out somebody is accusing me of lying about my weight on twitter there will be trouble.

Rouxtjie, I think the Powerbeam guys owe you big time. I have had mine since 2012. Without these races, which add a fun side to it, nothing was actually happening.

Thanks tjom...that is just it, the powerbeam guys(Dave and his merry men) are an awesome bunch to deal with. Lets take that issue on the pc as an example....he listened to the users, made work out of getting a solution and delivered it.

We have a lekker community going now with races...really cool to participate.

Speaking of, what are you guys lus for as the next race....climbing stage / flat TT / Rolling puncheur heaven.??
