This is what is generally used as chronic asthma treatment.. not a help I can't breath inhaler.

I find it odd that soneone thay has suffered from asthma for many years doesn't use it.

Perhaps the foxair or similar has a banned substance donno.. haven't needed to find out.

Foxair?? Where did you get that?

He mentioned that he use Salbutamol, Ventolin and Fluticasone.

Does anyone actually believe that pro-cycling is now clean post Lance? Just asking.

I believe that there are clean cyclists (there is one in particular that I would lay my head on a block for) but some dope. You can't tar everyone with the same brush.

So the best athlete shouldn't win....novel idea.

So you saying that my son who is a asthma sufferer shouldn't compete at tennis even though running up and down a tennis court for 2hrs is harder on him at times because of his asthma, but he has the determination not to let it stop him?

The logic used to be critical of TUE's is flawed. Based on some posters, no diabetic, asthmatic or anybody else with a chronic conditions should ever be allowed to race at Elite level, which is BS.

If Froome is guilty of anything, time will tell, ask Lance. If he is clean, time will tell. My view of professional sport is that it is entertainment, along the same level as professional wrestling, it is there to entertain the masses, like box office movies, some of the participants are clean, some not, it is all about creating the specticle though. Reality has nothing to do with it.

I think most people enjoy the controversy more that actually participating or getting actively involved in physical acitvity, it is too boring for the masses.

So does this make Aicar ok to race with if you are diabetic?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AICA_ribonucleotide

"Currently, the drug has also been shown as a potential treatment for diabetes by increasing the metabolic activity of tissues by changing the physical composition of muscle"

No Gen...definitely not...your son isn't playing finals at Wimbledon is he? He is playing the cards that nature gave him and hats off, like you said he has determination not to let that stand in his way.

Go read my posts again, I said foxair and similar is generally used as chronic asthma meds.. Ventolin (inhaler) normally used when you can't breath.

I didn't say he uses foxair or similar.

Like most of us here, he is doing it for the fun. For the honour to compete and win in his own way. Doing it as a profession is a whole bigger ball game. We are talking millions and millions of euros where if you don't perform 200% ALL the time you don't get the Ferrari. So put the comments in that perspective.

But should he then not turn pro one day (not that he will)

Or take Messi for example. . Had health issues.. should he not have followed his dream because he had to take growth hormones as a young child and teen to be able to develop.

Surely overcoming a condition and becoming the best is even more of an achievement than a person who nature blessed with the perfect physique.

No of course not.. else he would be as tall as Ronaldo ;)

Is this more a case of if you want to be a pro stop taking asthma meds or meds for any other ailment.

So in your post you have a picture of Seretide and say that "This is what is generally used as chronic asthma treatment.. "

Then you say "Perhaps the foxair or similar has a banned substance donno.. haven't needed to find out."

I understood the implication to be that he then uses "foxair"

I don't think your post reads that "foxair" is the general chronic asthma med
