Uni, back in 2007 I bought a new truck from Nissan, had big problems with tyres running off strangely from the beginning. I phoned the dealership, took the truck in, measured distance between front and rear wheals and got a 75mm difference between the left and right side. Then I spoke with the dp and all he said was that shi¥ happens seeing that it is mass production and nothing is supposed to be wrong. So I got back in the truck, saw the number for Nissan SA, phoned them and within 30min I had my appointment set for the next day with the area consultant, who had to travel 500km's to come and see me, and the next week my problem were resolved through Nissan SA because I refused to spend half a million on a vehicle and I have got troubles with it.

If you are not satisfied with the dealership and the way they handle the situation, go overboard and phone Nissan SA.

if it comes down to me having to crawl under my car to tighten the thing myself, they will learn about the wrath of a woman scorned!!!

ok is there a hub darwin award?

NSBB - you were right -there's a lever in my case that tightens the towbar. The supplier phoned me back - asked if i don't mind can i check that before he sends someone out - and yeah after some brute strength yanking - the play on the towbar is gone.

 

i really hope this is the end of the saga - thanks to all for advice / support / laughs
