Titan or Momsen?

Hi,

 

I am looking for an entry level mountain bike as i am doing my first mtb triathlon in October. Don't want to spend more than 10k in case i don't like it, but should also last at least one season if i love it which will be more likely.

I do not know allot about specs so was hoping someone could help me out.

 

The bikes that i have been looking at are the 2014 Momsen AL129 and the 2014 Titan 29er calypso trail.

 

Please help, just too many choices.

Weighed a friends son's Momsen 650B the other day. 14.7kg's, if that's not porky then I don't know what is. Poor little 11 year old's got to trap that arround....

IMO Sram FTW
