Can someone please help me with a bit of info. As I work in the UK I purchased a set of I-spec M988 B xtr brakes from Chain reaction, because they never had the compatible xtr shifters in stock I bought a set of those off the Hub when a got home and now the 2 are not compatible. Would anyone know if I am able to possibly purchase the connecting arm that is compatible with this brake set. Regards, Aquaman.

Thanks Peter, I had a scratch around on CRC and saw the covers, I think the brake levers I have are type B and the shifters are type A. Ja Skinny, I tend to agree with you. I thought I would be clever and change from Sram XO as I don't really like the groupset but now Shimano have managed to give me a headache as well.

I have an XT i-specced whateva shifter (RH only) I was hoping to use for my 1*10 but haven't been able to get the covers and bracket just so I can put it on my bar. Not even heavy enough to use as a frikkin door stop :cursing:

Is there any way to mount Ispec shifters onto the bar with some sort of adaptor? Don't think my brakes are compatible.

You need the covers with bar mounts

Can you send me a pic of this sometime?

I been trying to get just the Right XT I-Spec b cover conversion kit for my 1x10 also no go. Shimano SA apparently has no stock atm. Fortunately doesn't prevent me from riding my bicycle :)

I had the same problem when I ordered XT brakes form CRC.

It is compatible but you have drill the hole in the current shifter bigger and cut off the little lip of the A I-spec. My LBS did this for me and they did a great job it looks like it came out of the factory. It works 100% and I have not had any problems with it.
