Seatpost water bottle that work?

I have lost to many to count water bottles from my bottle cage behind the saddle....the one on the seatpost.

 

I even went as far as a getting a specialized side cage with a specialized bottle, thinking the two are made for each other and should be good

 

10km later and GONE....I need two water bottles and don't like riding with a camelback.

 

Any ideas from the Hubbers?

On longer rides I use a larger waterbot.Think it is 1.5L Ryder

All I did was to set the bottle cage higher up on the seat post. So then when you hit a bump in the road, the bottle presses against the seat and don't fall out.

 

But not high enough that you can't get the bottle in or out from under the seat.

I had the same problem and also went through a ton of different bottles and cages, but eventually a small piece of bungee cord tied around the top seat post/cage holder bracket and flipped over the bottle nozzle solved the problem.

 

It just pulls the bottle down and into the cage, it goes nowhere.

I use the same cage as Riaz,I do however put 2 thick elastic band on the cage which I then hook onto the nozzle of the waterbottle making sure it is a tight fit,haven't lost a bottle yet

just make sure the bottle fits under the lip of cage (I use the first ascent bottles)

Have you tried the gorilla cage XT. Had no problems till the whole support bracket broke off my seat post. Very nice cage, and a price to go with it

Not sure which shops still stock it. Will buy another one when i find a seat post bracket that works.And also use a bottle that fits the lip of the cage, same point made above by Lezyne.

I used these to together, elite bottle cage and the bottle, the lip on the bottle catches and keeps it very secure. Well it did for 3 rides, and then I fitted a dropper post. First world problem....

I can vouch for this one! sorry enter still not working so. ... I tried everything but the only one that keeps relatively any short (USN size) bottle in place throughout most of what I have been able to throw at it. The guys from Bicycletta offer a money back and new bottle if you lose your bottle (or at least that's what they said when I bought mine) Not cheap but well worth the investment and it looks good on my raw carbon bike Will test this year at K2C if it stays put other side of Ou Wa se Pad then it's a winner!!

For interest sake, where did you find this? Before I did the whole bungee cord thing I was looking for a bigger bottle but never came across one. If ever I want to ditch the seat post one this would be an option.
