Beast Tech Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I just want to say to all the people that work on the Spruit how you have changed the place so much in the last year, because of you guys its still honestly my favourite place to ride in the city! From about two years there were hardly any good jump lines to now that there quite a few running around and they are awesome to ride! And so far city parks isn't on to us about any of which is a very good thing (Except for the old lady by Emmarentia) Just want to say thanks, that place really has had the biggest effect on my riding! :thumbup: Jigghead, Daniel J Méssem, Stiggy and 7 others 10
RockCoach Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Yeah, the old lady at Emmerentia who got her garden executive to remove a small kicker on the dam wall due to "damaging the wall's intergrity". And then she removed that natural grass covered bump between the trees.
Skinnyone Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The spruit has changed so much in the 10years I have ridden it, it used to have so many natural jump lines and natural berms etc, but its been ridden flat, thanks to the various "spruit fairies" the work done has greatly improved it.

Thanks to all involved setting those up.The one under Conrad is a little awkward with at least 5 guys sitting under the bridge watching as you ride through. We were almost run over again by a quad and a enduro bike on the stretch by the golf club yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this and what can we do about it?

We were almost run over again by a quad and a enduro bike on the stretch by the golf club yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this and what can we do about it?i dare to say i dont think we can do much at all, the spruit is an open access Green belt, they theoretically have as much right to be there as you or i ( i assume, i dont know so please dont kill me if i am wrong).suspect we would have the same gripe as the walkers may have against us.

It is an open set of grass that I guess we don't have much say over them, but we can express our feelings towards them when we see them... As they do ruin the trail I believe
