Hi fellow hubbers... I just want to find out, regarding the new MTB route in the cradle... Is it only a one way (from Kloofzight to Beyers Circle) or is it both ways traffic... The reason why I ask, is that yesterday I was doing the route to Beyers and back and some MTB'rs on my way back shouted that the route is only a one way... I find this quite strange, as I looked everywhere for signs that its a one way... I don't want to be a chop, but also, how are you supposed to get back to Kloofzight if you cant ride the same route back as the route is not a loop... I'm surely not going to challenge the roadies back on the tar... for that I rather then cycle with a road bike in the cradle...

hahahahha you can't count the 102kg aunty you diced up the kloofzicht hill as a roadie...She was on a roadbike...that is where similarities stops.

Ah fokkit, but she was my size... I was comparing like for like

We've being doing it both ways and had a number of riders from the front and/or same direction as us. Give way where its needed and no problem

So is my understanding correct. The route starts at Kloofzicht, then goes down past the Nedbank Conference centre, right at the traffic circle, past the lion park all the way up to the T-junction? Then what. Do you then have to cycle back on the tar? Does not make sense!

There is signage, seen it from my skinny wheel bike, never saw ChUkKy pass me :P

Agreed that it should be 1 way for safety, but is it really that busy that it can't work both ways? The tracks are wide as hell most places, simple rule should be keep left pass right? Up gets right of way?

Same as the Spruit, who says there's a correct way?

Why can't people just be tolerant of each other? We had chops scream @ us 1 Groenkloof visit saying we were going the wrong way, yes we were, down a tar road when somebody wasn't feeling well, is it sooooooo BAAAAD?
