Conversion from Gears to Singlespeed

I am looking at converting my MTB to a Singlespeed,

is there anyone out there that can help and advise what I need for this conversion.

 

Any suggestions or help is welcomed.

I highly recommend buying a case of beer and a tensioner from NinerBoy. Invite Hairy over for a build session. He will have you one gearing it in no time.

Those are specific to certain GT Zaskar frames from only one or two years.

Tip on the tensioner. Get a sprung tensioner... The normal Dmr type in sprung tensioner is crap and tend to slip and lose tension...

Especially for biggish guys who put a decent amount of power down to get up hills.
