eish, sorry to hear that. It's quite close to the Dassenhoek, I think, train station. There have been other issues in the cane, although I believe closer to the train station.

What time of day were you riding ?

Sorry to hear about this!! Horrible news! Hope you get it back ASAP! Is anyone using insurance? What kind of premiums? I know our lives are more important than riding - so giving them a bike in exchange for one more day with your family seems a no brainer..Sorry again!

maybe i'm over-exaggerating the numbers a bit....but its more than it should be. we had an incident about 2 or 3 weeks ago where three bikes were jacked on 2 separate occasions at a spot that was part of my regular training route right by cascades. I think up here its still opportunistic as opposed to planned though.

Those attacks are related to land invaders moving across and into the route exiting PMB on the way to Ottos Bluff (bordering Cascades). Maybe opportunistic but it's a known popular cycling route so I have my doubts. There is serious tension amongst local authorities and the land invaders at the moment so I would definately steer clear of this area until these issues have been solved.

In Umhlanga the birth of Cornubia (mixed density housing) has impacted on our routes. Thank goodness for EMBA's hard work. I fear that without them we wouldn't have anywhere to ride.
