geemobee Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Hi guys, I am going to be doing my first 94.7 event this year. Only have a MTB though (29er). Should I be changing my tyres to suit the race or is it not really necessary? CheersGary
Long Wheel Base Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 If you going to do it on your MTB then go big or go home. Sure its easier on slicks but if you where looking for easy you wouldn't do it on a mtb anyway. Nobblies will earn extra street cred.

So I guess it comes down to whether you want a faster/easier finish time with slicks or the respect of all the MTB-ers while grinding the knobblies
