In combat there are no rules everything goes........ but as you know, one can not train like that......you will run out of partners LOL! I do agree that one should train in such away that you get from an art, what you would like to get. Some arts are also more focused on different aspects - Sport, Defence, tradition etc. Seems like we are boring the usual trolls on here, will catch up on this discussion another day

GlockG4 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I carry a FA with me when I cycle for the simple reason that I am not willing to bet on the fact that the bad guy with a gun or knife is a nice guy and is going to let me live. I agree that flight should be your first option, but if he starts stabbing me I would like to be able to do something about it. There are MANY cases of people being shot multiple times and surviving it, so I doubt a jab with your keys is going to do something besides agrivate him and give him more reason to kill you (not that he needs one) I also carry pepper spray, it has its uses, but when your life is on the line pepper is a spice you cook with not a weapon.
