A tip to those doing back up this weekend. Either leave before the race starts, PEOPLE DONT HAVE ANY SENSE OF PATIENCE ON THE ROAD. The stetch to Uniondale aint long, please, please drive with care. Last Saterday the drivers thought it was a race track. You will get to CP5 long before your team gets in. Saterday the first team got there at 17:00. There is enough time for a brekke on the way. ENJOY THE BEAUTIFULL COUNTRY SIDE.

Also remember to have a camping light with you at the CP5,7. You will make it easier for your team when the either change kit, or you assist in lubing their bikes and filling their water bottles.

Have fun, c u there again. This time as a rider. :w00t: .

Hope we have the same weather conditions.

Velo what happened?

Somedays you're the pigeon, somedays you're the statue.

I was the statue. For 9 hours.

The first 50kms were awesome though ;)

I'll get a "race" report up shortly (it's going to be more like a tale of misery and torment)

I see the unofficial results are out.

How does the masters category work, does only one member needs to be older than 50? (I see the category winners had Billy Stelling (46) in their team?)

I see you guys may get some rain this weekend? We had beaut weather. not even cold.

Jip, you had awesome conditions. Hope we have a tail wind as well. Just praying it doesnt rain on the day. The vibe at the start was lekker. Temp was around 18 and went up to about 30 in the kloof. Thats according to Garmin.

So, do we only determine the actual winners after this weekends race?

Would`nt be fair if the conditions change, which it is gonna do.

I'm sure it will count as 2 seperate races? I hear some people are doing both!

Also heard that @ CP5. Was told that THE CHOC BOYS were going back to Willowmore on the same route on Sunday. They are appartenly also doing it again this weekend. Dont hold me to it.....

Wonder what the total value of all the bikes were last weekend. Some damn nice eye candy.

Hope the people service their bikes before the race. Were quite alot of people starting with probs, due to lack of service. Not fair to your training partners. One tyre popped in the starting shute, as a result of an small bubble on the side wall. Slime all over the place. The lady was not impressed with her male partner. Hope it wasn`t her husband.

What must be done to be seeded for next years race( yellow race number plate)?

Those guys looked so pro / fast / cool...

Yeah - it looks awesome on the start line having a nice low number, like 6, but it kinda sucks when you're going backwards from there on!

I thought it was the top 100 riders got seeded (and those special few who have done all the events).

Another question seeing as it looks like we will be staying in Steytlerville on the Friday night (as the caravan in Willowmore seems to have blown away, don't ask).

Anyway

Where the *&^! is Steytlerville?

....I mean

I saw on a mail from the organizers that you can load your boxes and hand them in on the Friday afternoon - did anyone do this or see this?

Thanks
