Confirmation of my entry of the event would actually be nice though, how much time do they need to process it?

Hope it fails I can just imagine how thrilled the 100's of people who couldn't get entries will be with your opinion... Maybe send an official complaint to the organisers?

Maybe send an official complaint to the organisers? It just takes away the exclusivity of the event for me. Like the Cape Argus, there can't be two. And like Velouria said, is it going to be the exact replica of the original regarding prize money etc?
Joe Low Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Great news on the 2nd event, it allows far more people to have a go (obvs.) And caters for folk who didnt want to commit on the 1st Dec. Makes a lot of sense looking at the popularity.
Velouria Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'm all for growing the sport and sharing experiences, but this has a hint of commercialisation behind it. Ecobound have created a fantastic event that I've supported right from the start, and it seems like they are prepared to dilute the significance and exclusivity of the race just for a bit of extra money. If they really wanted to open the field to more people, why not have a staggered start or something. Send the "adventure" riders off at 8 in the morning, or the day before... But, it's their race, they can do with it what they want.

Dicky DQ Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 There is nothing wrong with having a second event. But they need to define a race and fun ride and then have some sort of seeding. This means they will need to start to get more professional. Main issue is if they don't sort things out they will loose entries from people that want to race and can't be in the race start. They could even end up with a low enough number to only run one event again. I for one do not wantto do the fun ride event as I havery been planning to fit to race, not for a podium but you know what I mean, Now what? I have taken this up with Ecobound and thier response is exactly as insignificant and indecisive as it has always been in the past.

If they are planning a second event then surely ,tell us all that's there's 2 options from the beginning.But money talks.
