Hi Wessel

In your booklet there is no mention of the total ascent for the marathon and half,

any idea what these would be?

Thanks

Guy I know who did the Marathon last year says his GPS showed 1700m for the 75km.

I tried to make a booking for Saturday afternoon and found out they don't take bookings :(

You are not alone!!!! And I have to do it Sat and Sun morning urgh.

I am doing the marathon as training with my wife for Sani so it's going to be a long cold day for me! Then I had some bright idea to do the 20 km with my son,!

Just showed my wife the temps (she is doing the 20 with my son on Sunday). I'l take the weather for the Marathon as it comes (may just need to dig out those knee warmers I hate so much).

After looking at the route profile I think I might be coming in after the slow Captonians. Keep us a spot at your table :)

I hope they have hot chocolate and stuff at the waterpoints

"The recreational riders will find this route very challenging and may find themselves

portaging for short distances. Please don’t underestimate the marathon

route, its really challenging mountainous terrain, we suggest you study the profile

and water point locations. The “Ultra” will do a combination of the two distances"

USN "own" the waterpoints. Definitely no chance of any hot chocolate unless they've recently launched a USN hot chocolate weigh protein powder.
