Speak to your tjommies and their tjommies' tjommies - they must enter today to avoid missing out.

Not sure if the deadline date will be extended - have asked and still waiting for a reply from my colleagues.

I got an email a few minutes ago and it still shows 10th of Feb - oh well, I guess I will find out sooner than later.

Are the number terribly low this year that you want the cut off time to be extended?

They seem to do it with almost every race. Even the 947 extended last year. I think its more because a lot of people leave it to last minute then the system gets overloaded???

17% of the entries have come through in the last 24 hours.

Also, we received close on 600 late entries last year - it's an admin nightmare to process everything in such a short period of time. Online entries allow a few days to check, balance and process before seeding is completed, numbers issued and preparations for number collection (which I also dislike) are made.

A few weeks ago, we rode the 125Km route, with some of us riding to/from home to Carnival City - giving us >175Km for the day.

The wind that day was quite hectic on the final 35-40Km of the route - basically a headwind from Heidelberg to Nigel, a cross wind (left gutter) past Diduza and then the same head wind back to Carnival. If conditions are the same next weekend - HKGK

  <_<  Well lets only hope. Don't feel like getting dropped by all the guys fresh from SAs and suffering in the wind alone. Good Argus training, That's why I opted for VA even though i'm going tandem for Argus.

I will do this race this year as a big thank you to our Lord for giving me another chance and my family for their love and support. Suffered a heart attack last year after the race, and after 4 stents and a lengthy recovery is now back to full recovery and riding again
