This is getting very complicated.  Lets keep it simple.  The more the bike goes squish when you sit on the saddle, the less likely it is to aggravate your hemorrhoids on a long ride.  You get bouncy bikes and not bouncy bikes. Easy Peasy

This weekend reminded me why I replaced the rigid fork on my Ritchey with a good old SID. I thought i'd give the rigid fork another try, but hell I hated it again.

 

Everything, even Jenna Jameson, becomes a *** ride if you fit a rigid fork. It is no surprise that front suspension was the first enhancement to early MTBs...

Different strokes I guess...
