I see a lot of the 2x specific SLX cranks used. I also have one and have to say the chain line in the top 2 gears is worrying!

I also had that issue...so swapped the spacers on the BB to the non-drive side. Not eh chainline (IMHO) is better for the higher gears (larger) where you tend to apply much more torque. Chainline on 1X is never going to be great. You can also use spring washers between the spider and chainring (because finding the REAL spacers is almost impossible) to shift the chainline a little better :)

 ive been toying with an slx crank, xt crank or a x1 crank.... busy buying parts and stuff at the moment... but I agree with you theres a lot of slx cranks but everyone who rides with xt setup say theres no shifting problems

Do you also have the BB70? Was also going to try moving the BB spacers around. But I'll definitely try the washers first.
