DJ84 Posted November 19, 2014 Share On the double crank setup, how close is the chainring to your frame? I am running a 36 and it is very tight, want to add some washers in but not sure if i can.
BBN Posted November 21, 2014 Share Here's my PYGA OneTen29 in it's latest form............YES, I know there's no dropper post! XT 11-42 with OneUp 42T and 16TXT Shadow+ RD, GSWolftooth NW 32T chainring with spacers+2 links in the chainC-guide Eco chainguide Before you ask, I'm using the chainguide as I am not using the clutch, because I find shifting into the 36-42 range not as stiff this way and it avoids any chain slap I may have. I do have the OneUp RAD cage but have not tried it yet as I found everything works fine just with the b-tensioner fully in, did not need to remove the gromit. Gearing seems fine but I may try 34T up front and see if I can still make the hills!

MTBc Posted December 2, 2014 Share Officially part of the club now. The Front:34t GoFastGreen Kitted.co.za Wonder Ring The Rear:XT 11-36 minus the 15t & 17t and a OneUp 42t+16t Long cage XT RD has no issues shifting and is smooth The only thing left to do is to put it through it's paces on some rough terrain and make sure I don't get any chain drops. The narrow wide engagement is awesome, so hoping to not need a clutch RD. The whole picture. Only lacking a decent backdrop

MTBc Posted December 2, 2014 Share How long'd your OneUp stuff take to arrive? I've been waiting since mid September! They even re-sent with a courier...and NO update ont eh tracking info since 4 November Bought 2nd hand from a hubber in Cpt, so waited a day (the seller got a new XX1 ride). I had a similar issue with international shipping a couple of months ago, 3 days from US to ZA, and then 6 weeks from W.C. to Gauteng. Strike is over now, so maybe you're lucky. Otherwise ping Kitted.co.za here about when he'll have his 40 / 42t sprockets ready.

Rick Sanchez Posted December 2, 2014 Share Are there any conversion options when you've got this X7 crank?I believe so, you just need to make sure you get a chainring with the correct BCD for your crank, whatever that may be. Something like a 120BCD probably. http://www.evobikes.co.za/components/chainrings/wolftooth-chain-ring-for-120-bcd-36t.html
