And if I am not mistaken, the chaps at giant, that you spaz boys are taking pot shot s at, will be manufacturing the spaz frames!

Not true. Do share facilities with Merida who owns a stake in Specialized, though.

I think you're confused......actually based on your previous posts you clearly are confused. It all makes sense now

You use the term 'think' way too loosely.

From the Epic website: The Absa Cape Epic is widely regarded as the world’s premier international mountain bike stage race and it is the most televised mountain bike race of all time. Since its inception in 2004, the Absa Cape Epic has generated more than 24 500 hours of TV coverage in Europe, America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

"World's most widely" could be interpreted in many ways. Amount of countries, viewers, amount of TV slots...it's all relative.

Just back from the middle east and Europe and Couldn't find it on any channel.

Just saying...

XCO,..........every event is on live. Hype is hype.

Inside line says 30% of Epic starters were on Epics. Epic.

Just repeating info, makes no difference to me who's riding how many of what many.

Me neither. Had the oppurtunity to get real up close to the winning machines today after the race. I like Spez. But I am not blindfolded. Those Canyon bikes are absolutely stunning. I even drooled over the green Canondale leftys with enve rims. Beautifull

So nothing on the "overpriced" claim?

Guess it's easier to throw poo than actually bring facts.

Funny thing is, the idiocy of the claim is what gets me. The average person that criticises someone because of the brand of bike or wheelsize they ride is hardly someone who's opinion means squat.

Just disappointed in the flagrant idiocy.

Probably also the same people that boycot Woolies and think Shell is out to poison all our water.

Shem.

Nico how do you define overpriced?

Speak to some retailers who are willing to tell you the truth about the business model.

I only buy my Coke from Woolies. It's just better.

Hey, I could be wrong. With the increase in numbers it's possible they had to rope in another factory. Will try and get confirmation. But to be honest that wouldn't make any difference to me either way. Giant know how to glue carbon and weld alu tubes. They are MASSIVE so will be able to offer serious value in terms of numbers.

On another note, would be interesting to know how many guys weren't on Anthems due to Giant's push for 27.5 bikes.

that's the best you can come up with........eish

Oh I can take the bait drop it a few levels, but there are boundaries here. Lets keep it above the belt ladies.

Disproportionately more expensive than comparable builds on other brands.

Yes I'm sure they're model allows for the highest profit margin out there. Bloody capitalist pigs. How dare they.

A bigger question to me than the choice of manufacturer is why do 95% of mtbers keep choosing aggressive head angle, short travel, long stem, flat bar, narrow wheeled machines when you can get a really fast and rad enduro bike (even a spez if you want) for the same price as a spez epic expert?
