maybe it start to sink into your noggin that you are whoring yourself to a parasite

Slowly starting to sink in. Unfortunately. Olympic was one of my favourite shops, Bridge aswell. When they force me to use concept stores, I will buy a Canyon, from somewhere, dunno how yet.

No way that is correct. Sorry. Watched the bikes getting washed afterwards, hardly any Bulls bikes, apart from team Bulls. Very few Momsens. Loads of Spez, Canondale and Merida. Thats for sure. Giant is not even on that list, saw loads of Anthem x bikes. Someone was drunk for sure.

I think one of the grand masters teams' was le Giante'

And i heard a rumour that Mr Freewheel Cycology claimed he was going to have 2 x Spaz concept stores. He said this to a UK relative who was out here for the Argus.

As far as the Spaz mentality is concerned, I saw a very dirty S Wox on the back of an Audi into town this am. Now either he rode the Epic on his Epic and was taking it to le Concept Store filthy and unwashed, or he wanted people to think he'd just done the Epic on it :-)

Giant don't send sponsored riders to the Epic. In fact outside of fizmiss and Mayayumyum they don't really feature in XCO either. They not really interested in promoting their mens xc products through racing. Their LIV division is still keen because its more a matter of promoting ladies bikes designed by ladies for ladies

From what I have heard is that Giant canned a good portion of their mens XCO in order to focus more on road ,not sure how true this is?? Emile Lindgren was a a former Giant factory racing member

Bridge was informed at the beginning of March that they are no longer needed by Specialized SA.

this after hey sunk money into a new store specifically for the Specialized brands need for apartheid

  I'd find it difficult to buy a Specialized product right now, even if on sale or secondhand.

Confirmed in an earlier post i made.

Everyone here is worried about what the next guy rides.

I would be more worried about the fact that spez is pulling their brand from stores that have been punting their sh!t for who knows how long.then turning around and giving concept stores to people that only started selling bicycles let alone spez bikes only yesterday. Well that's what I see..maybe revolution cycles have a store in another part of the country that have been selling spez bikes for decades. Correct me if I am wrong.

Olympic didn't want to be dictated to and basically told Spec to take a hike. I applaud bravery of this magnitude and I trust Jason and co will be better off for it.

thing is , when you friends get kicked in the teeth do you walk over to the perp and shake his hand calling it "just business"...?

Olympic saved themselves a lot of pain and know their brand will  keep them in the winning circle.

PS: Although I also like Canyon, theres also an opportunity to continue to support the shops that have supported you in the past.

they don't

they're Johnny come latelies. In fact the owner was a big customer and maybe even a tjommie of the owners at bowmans and then decided to set up a store basically next door....

In a few more words than that though, I'd imagine ;)

Makes sense, put money into the holy grail of cycling where reputedly a billion people watch THE 3 week road race live, with Marcel Kittle and John Degonkolb and on board cameras ripping up the tar, as opposed to a few die hards trying to get excited by seeing the finish line live and some delayed limited coverage with awful commentary highlights package showing very little of the skills or strength involved.

Hard to get excited about watching 2 guys ride away from the rest day after day on their supposedly superior bikes...compared to a bunch sprint that starts some 10 kays from the finish.

Especially when more people tuned into Milan San Remo in 3 hours than tuned in for the whole of the dirt roadie thing in 8 days....

Kinda makes more business sense to me. Spend your money wisely

What is die equivalent to Spez in road cycling, in terms of hatred. Or is Spez just hated all over, road and dirt. :whistling:
