Thanks

Yes I have pretty much made that decision now. The camber with stock 29mm rims looks like a sorted good value option.

@V12man , What size frame do you ride again? Looking for someone with an XL enduro that I can have a test ride on :)

Medium.... you are welcome to try, but I suspect it is WAY small for you, although I am sure it won't break:) It's at my office in Rosebank - so your call entirely.

I am not even sure Spes brought in an XL Enduro at all to SA - I have only ever seen 1 other in Jhb (also a medium) - I am sure Marc from Dunkeld will be able to find out if you ask him.

Appreciate the offer, it would be a waste for me to even try a medium though.

They definitely brought in XL's as there was recently a carbon expert for sale in KZN.

I'll chat to the guys at Dunkeld regarding availability though. Maybe they could arrange a test ride in XL (wishful thinking)

 When I saw the medium Enduro my first thought was that it looked way too big for V12man

It seems like a big jump from the Epic for rides like Karoo2Coast etc. Also is 140mm not stretching it for a Revelation fork? The Pike models are a bit more than I would consider spending.

I also thought so - bit it fits just fine.... kind of like sitting on a skyscraper....

I don't know anything about the revelation.... the pike is a great piece of kit - even when not perfectly set up. (OK - it is close, thanks to Robodog and his partner in crime.... (mid ride) )

Revelation (unlike the 32) is fine at 140mm. It may suffer slightly on big big hits, but it's a solid piece of kit.

Eish so if I add the dropper post to the Camber the cost is exactly the same as the Stumpjumper. So just a choice between 120mm and 140mm. I will sleep over it for a while.

Go big or go home!
