let me be clear I will be riding W2W next year and have done a few stage rides and races BUT same as the Spez bandwagon topic can I just ask

 

The tops and kit given for the race is nice I get it, but lately at Tokai and surrounds every Tom , D...k and Harry has his FNB W2W lycra on day and night almost as bad as the Spez top to toe guys

 

I get it you did the Race,Ride,Adventure but boys and girls the event is over

 

Let me also say I do ride a Spez (Camber) baggies and all

Ironman triathletes are the worst at this. For example, if you go to a race registration to sign up for a triathlon, okes are kitted up like mad. If you are registering for a triathlon, it's obvious you are into triathlon. You don't have to put on your ironman pants and jail break shirt. And shoes and necklaces and tattoos.I like triathlons, but triathletes be crazy brand conscious.

I would never aim to buy or wear the kit of an event I have not done to try come across as someone who had attempted or finisher said event, how ever if I was given or could score a great (read amazing) deal on a pair of quality event branded bibs or rain jacket I would add them to my training kit.

 

Things like tops, t-shirts and caps I would pass on.
