We cycled up the Sani Pass in September, did the Sani Dragon 2 day stage race...

We k@ked to get to the top on just our bikes alone, then, just as we reached the top... we came across these two ouks...

They came up Sani Pass same us, FULL gear!

They been cycling for 4 years now, started off in China and on their way to Cape Town, I asked them where to then?

They just laughed and said, they will be flying back home... must be the best experience to be able to do something like this...

on another note - is that an adapter for a 2l water bottle ?

I like the Salsa Deadwood, but they don't have an agent in SA

Not sure where you heard this but they do have representation here. Like most bike brands people are dying to get there hands on, you have to beg them to sell you products or at least get pricing but some one doing Salsa in SA does exist.

As an aside, I have mailed Salsa mentioning the complete lack of communication from there local agent... I'm yet to hear back from them to.

Moving on...

Just a simple google search and nothing mentioning a South African agent on the Salsa website.

**** Newby Alert ****

I have been looking for a seat bag for my 2 / 3 night Klein Karoo trip next month.  I can get a small, 11 litre  bag which will serve my purposes for this tour, but I suspect that this will be the first of many touring rides.

My question is as follows:

Is 11 litre enough for a longer ride, or should I rather hang on and get a larger 14 or 17 litre bag?

I.e. Do people typically wish that their bag was smaller, or that it was a bit bigger ?  I suppose you can always fill a big bag half way( and clinch it tight) that have bits hanging off a smaller one .

Please help.
