TALUS Posted November 22, 2014 Share Earlier this year BogusOne kindly donated a frame respray as part of a charity fundraiser. I was lucky enough to win the bid. Although my Tallboy was still going well (considering the crappy pilot) I thought it was time to give it a new lease of life. I really did not know what I wanted and gave BogusOne nearly nothing to work with. Eventually I worked out that I liked a "bowling ball" pattern in black and red. BogusOne said he understood my request (although I wasn't even sure what it meant). When I received my bike back I decided to give it a complete rebuild. Shocks serviced, BB replaced, new pivot and headset bearings,new cassette etc. I also removed the Avid brakes and replaced with Formula's. New rims and spokes and my first bite at the rebranded new tyres from Vittoria (I was a Geax junkie). Now I don't know whether I should ever try to ride this bike "in anger" given my complete lack of skills. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
