99er Cycle Tour 2015

Gents need some advise,

 

I have never done this race before and will start training for it soon.

 

What is a realistic goal to set for this race? Done a Sub 3 SCT

Sub 3 as well or am I being very optimistic with that Goal?

 

I was 15 min slower in 99er than SCT, both times finished within a minute or two of winner. Work on climbing hills after 90km of riding. Then do another hill repeat at 98km.

And this year's 99er will be 9km longer than last year. So add another +-18 minutes for that.

 

I think you can expect to take about 30 minutes longer at least...

great , that's one of my favourite training roads but have skipped it because of the unrepaired potholes
