What about monark for the brakes??

I've looked at the pic in the above post for years (I've had it from way back when) and always wondered what it would be like to have/ ride/ experience one of these...

 

Thanks to a good friend and fellow hubber, ChroMo, who pushed me over the edge with regards to the decision and has been a huge source of advice and knowledge... this just happened...

This is exactly what I want to do with my El Mariachi!!

 

That is why I asked about the Salsa Woodchipper bar and the Lucy earlier.

 

I just need to get the brakes hydraulics somehow,  because  I love my  180mm XT stoppers to much.

Unfortunately my planned build has come to a temporary hold. We are in a time of severe drought and our dam has dried up, so we don't have any running water. Will have to instal a Jojo tank with an electric water pump to make life a bit easier.

 

In the meantime I have received some bling goodies for my future build????

Here is my bike, all finished and raring to go. Maiden voyage planned for the ride home from work. Cannot wait. Many thanks to ryanpmb for the frame and bits. Will give feedback soon. Will be changing to black soon.

Morning Look,

 

Absolutely no idea, but don't think very light. could probably save weight on new wheels but i wanted robust and duurable. Will see if i can weigh it this weekend.
