Building a Cyclo Cross bike

Thanks.

The giant is not available here and the spez is 3 times my budget.

It is nice though. [emoji1]

Ah. Ok. Wasn't sure of the Spez pricing against what you were looking at.

Basically, as Rob said, I'd steer away from all out cx bikes and favour gravel/ adventure bikes. The lines do get blurred but in general cx bikes Wil be fairly aggressive, go fast as possible machines whereas the gravel bikes will be more comfortable to ride and probably tick more of your requirement boxes.

Hey Wayne!!

I went through the same exercise last year.  Settled on a Niner RLT. :-)

As per one of the suggestions - there is a cheaper Spez that might suit your needs.  There is a model which retails for about R14k in ZA which is a gravel ginder.  The Crux is the more expensive Cx option.

Enjoy!!!

Diverge!!  You probably get different models in the Diverge range.  Not sure if it carries a name difference.

The diverge has been on my "list" for ages... I have ridden one and loved it. I would love disk brakes for that added level of security.

The Carbon Comp Diverge (Shimano 105 spec) is R45 000... that is a lot of money...

The On One Picknflick is also an option... gorgeous bike.... and the Bishbashbosh (Ryan apologies for spelling)
