Wasn't sure of the Spez pricing against what you were looking at. Basically, as Rob said, I'd steer away from all out cx bikes and favour gravel/ adventure bikes. The lines do get blurred but in general cx bikes Wil be fairly aggressive, go fast as possible machines whereas the gravel bikes will be more comfortable to ride and probably tick more of your requirement boxes. I went through the same exercise last year. Settled on a Niner RLT. :-) As per one of the suggestions - there is a cheaper Spez that might suit your needs. There is a model which retails for about R14k in ZA which is a gravel ginder. The Crux is the more expensive Cx option.
